FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I'm staying in a short-term rental. How many vehicles am I allowed to have? Do I need parking passes?
It is the short-term rental host's responsibility to provide their guests with a transferrable parking pass, it is the tenant's responsibility to display their parking pass from their rear-view mirror. If you are renting a short-term, you can have one parking space in the lot closest to the unit you are staying in. Sometimes, parking is not available close to your unit and you may need to park in a lot further away. Short term units are not permitted to park more than one vehicle in the Original Dillon Valley Condominium parking lots.
I'm a guest of a tenant. Where am I allowed to park?
Parking for guests is located below the E building, it is marked by signs. Before you park there, be sure to stop by the office and register your vehicle in the log and help your self to a yellow guest parking tag.
Can I back my vehicle in to parking spaces?
If you are staying in the A building and have an assigned parking space, you may back your vehicle into your parking space. All vehicles parked in front of the B, C, D, and E buildings must have the exhaust pointing away from the building when parking.
My neighbor has a short-term rental and they are being really noisy. What can I do?
If it is possible, record the disturbance using the video application of your phone, then notify the condominium manager immediately. A warning, or fine, will be sent during the next business day if supporting evidence is collected. In addition, please call the unincorporated Summit County short-term rental complaint hotline at 970-486-1444 for immediate assistance. After filing a complaint on the hotline, the owner of the short-term unit has one hour to resolve the issue. You can also submit your complaint online at https://www.summitcountyco.gov/1252/Complaints
If the issue is an emergency and you suspect someone may be injured, please call 911.
Does the Original Dillon Valley Condominium Association have a leash law?
Yes, all pets must be kept on a leash when outside. The nearby Town of Dillon also has a leash law in place, so if you're going to town, keep the leash on. It is also worth noting that pet owners are responsible for picking up pet waste; bags are provided at no cost.
